News from Waveney Stardust

The current boat has been in service for over 10 years and has evolved from a standard hull design through a 10 year work in progress. 

Demand for the current Waveney Stardust is beginning to exceed availability and so a decision has been made to raise funds for a Second Boat.

A custom built vessel will cost approx. £160 000. Already we have raised ½ of this from generous gifts and fund raising. Designs have been commissioned for a purpose built vessel using the knowledge gained by the Committee and crews, to further the enjoyment of our passengers.

In the last 10 years, Waveney Stardust 1 has taken 18000 passengers over 35000 miles of the Broadland Waterways. More specifically, in 2002, we took out 2200 passengers and in 2003, over 3000 passengers. The majority of these people would not have had the opportunity to experience the waterways without a unique boat that is Waveney Stardust.
