“Waveney Stardust” has been in service for over 19 years, regularly serviced and well maintained. During history of the charity Waveney Stardust, 55,000 passengers have enjoyed cruises – travelling in excess of 80,000 miles on the Broadland Waterways. The majority of these people would not have had the opportunity to experience the waterways without a cruiser that was designed for wheelchair- bound passengers. “Waveney Stardust II” will come into service on 1st April 2012, providing better viewing for passengers in wheelchairs – yet keeping the comfort and facilities on the other cruiser. Operation of the cruisers – its administration – and staffing in the Waveney Stardust Charity Shop at Pakefield, Lowestoft is all carried out by volunteers. Skippers and crews have to undergo training. The cruisers have to be berthed and well maintained with regular servicing. Checks have to be regularly carried out to achieve certification – such as the platform lifts, fire extinguishers, gas equipment, etc. To help maintain the operating costs at an affordable rate, donations and grants are most welcome ![]() For further details on bookings please telephone 07817 920 502
