About Waveney Stardust
The
42ft long boat, officially named in April 1993 by Anglia Television's
Helen McDermott. is available for day hire with its crew of volunteers. Waveney Stardust was awarded The Queen's Award for Voluntary Service 2007.
The
management of the Charity is conducted by a committee who, along with
the skippers and crew, give their time free. Passengers needs are catered
for throughout from helping them aboard to preparing tea or coffee.
Waveney
Stardust was designed to accommodate people in wheelchairs and as such
is suitable for all passengers with walking difficulties
The
cost of hiring Waveney Stardust is heavily subsidised by the management
committee through generous donations, fund raising events and from the
sale of souvenirs on board the boat.
